What's a view?
Learn what's a view on Collato.

Within a workspace, you can set up view(s) to display information in a particular way via the use of filters, layouts, group by, and color by. There can be many views of a workspace, and there can even be sub-views (or “children-views”) to a view.
Important to know:
- A view cannot share multiple workspaces. This is because no information can be shared between one workspace to another.
- If a child-view is created, it adopts the filter settings of its parent-view.
- A child-view can have more extensive filtering settings added, but none of the settings shared with its parent-view can be removed.
- A common misconception is that a view is a “section,” a way to file or categorize a group of children-views. It is not. Moreover, a layout is not a view (nor vice versa).
How to create a view?
Creating a new view is very simple.
- + button:
By clicking on the plus (+) button next to the Workspace’s name. You will have to filter the information and select the layout you want to have on that view.
