Rights, access, and roles

Rights, access, and access
Collato has the following set of system roles by default:
- Admin
- Contributor
- Editor (view option)
As an admin, you can manage the rights of all members under Settings & Team.

Roles and permissions
Admin
Admins have the ability to manage every aspect of the organization, from inviting users and creating roles. Admins also can share views and set permissions per view (can comment, can view, can edit). There are no restrictions on what they can do on Collato.
Contributor
Contributors can invite other users as contributors only. They have viewing access to all workspaces and views in the organization, but can't create new cards nor views. Contributors also can comment and add updates.
Contributors can’t:
- Share views
- Change card content
- Change card type nor properties
Editor
Editors are the ones invited to a specific view. They are not part of the organization. They can change card content and update property values; set up goal settings if goal tracking is pre-enabled, and add and delete updates. They can’t change card type nor edit property types shown.
